Project Description

Town of Cary, North Carolina

This was a large-scale project involving the design of a 45-page beekeeping guide intended to educate and support new and aspiring beekeepers. The content covered a wide range of topics, from terminology and definitions to troubleshooting, the lifecycle of bees, equipment checklists, and even a sample budget.

Given the amount and variety of information, the main challenge was organisation. I designed a clear, structured layout system that made the guide easy to navigate and reference, even for readers new to the subject. This included developing consistent illustration styles, establishing strong typographic hierarchy, and creating repeatable layouts for instructional sections, diagrams, and data-driven content.

By treating the guide as a complete editorial system rather than a one-off document, the final result is both approachable and practical, with a structure that allows for future updates or expansion without disrupting clarity or flow.
